If you have quadrature versions available, there's a remarkable
symmetry present and it turns out that adding quadrature phases of a
triangle nets you a trapezoid, just like adding quadrature phases of a
trapezoid nets you a triangle.  (!!!)

I didn't have the trapezoid waveform as a goal with my VCO, it was
just the only way I could solve the problems I cared about.
