Hello all!
Thanks very much for your suggestions! Next time i
have a free day ill run over to black market to check
out the teacs, i know ive seen them collecting dust
forever, so 200 is probably a suggested price these
days (might as well pick up that akai s612 thats dying
a slow death in the corner too), he hee. im also
going to poke around ebay today and see what i can
find.
ill probably end up getting a pair of the cheaper
consumer grade models, as these machines do not need
to perform as primary recording devices in my studio
(and by studio i mean the corner of my bedroom). id
just like to cut some loops and edit rhythmic stuff
(look out perrey/kingsley).
now, anothre thing im curious about is the rotating
four head tape tempo shift device. its referenced in
strange's electronic music book, but i cant remember
the german name off the top of my head...
zeitausdehnung? mayeb one of the german list members
can help me. its a device made to modify the time of
a tape without changing the pitch. im going to assume
these were all custom devices... any brave souls made
one of these?
thanks again for the help all! yay synth-diy!
seth
