[sdiy] Musical applications for dome filters

Now that I'm building a couple of "Hilbert Transform" 
dome filters for the FS-2 Stereo Frequency Shifter,
and as I don't know it this will ever actually be
built -
does nybody know _other_ interesting applications for
splitting an audio signal into a quadrature pair?

One thing comes to mind: Stereo FX that don't cancel
in mono because the mix for 2 channels is not 180deg
out of phase, just 90deg.

Other ideas?
