Curiously enough, I got roped into doing the electronics for this
Oramic-like gadget. 
LM3700 triangle oscillators for the VCOs, and MC3340 VCAs (these were old
TV remote volume control chips, too much CV feedthru for synth work, but
OK for this). I used 1 X 1.5 inch solar cells as pickups for the light,
worked a treat.
