Believe it or not this Linear Technology chip makes a great sample & hold
amp.

Subject: [sdiy] Using LF398 for Keyboard S&H
Hi All! I just picked up a beautiful 5 octave dual contact bare keyboard
and would like to do a 'one off' keyboard controller. I've actually done
this before using the basic Prodigy circuit, but at time the hold over time
drooped a bit. It has occured to me to use an LF398 Sample and Hold
amplifier to do what the the fet and the jfet opamp seem to be doing in the
Prodigy keyboard circuit- any opinions/experiences/examples of doing this,
anyone?
Best regards, Ken
