hey all,

some demolition is happening at work, and in a trash pile was a black box
with three banana jacks in it.

!!!

It turns out it is a Xerox 600T1620 Electrostatic Voltmeter. It runs on two
9 volt batteries, and has a wand as a sensor. The problem is that it has no
display, only three banana jacks labeled Ground (Black) Low (red) and High
(blue).

it has an on off switch, a +/- switch, a low battery LED and a read/ hold
switch/

Now somebody tell me how I can use this thing!!! Are the jacks inputs or
outputs (come ooooonn outputs!) and what exactly would I output them to?
DVM? Scope?

finally, can I use this safely with my modular to introduce some
environmental weirdness, or will it deliver static to the synth?

any and all comments greatly appreciated!!

Ed
