The use of LFO frequencies that increase with increasing drive frequency
is certainly novel and interesting. But am I reading this right, there is
no way to turn this feature off?

I would argue with the statement that this design is superior to all
previous ones. Several people have posted information about their versions
of this animator, and certainly it has been demonstrated that there is
scope for much more functionality than in this design. For example, my
version has six totally independent and voltage controlled LFOs, with sync
inputs for interesting cross-coupling effects. Also I would argue that the
ommission of the commonly included triangle wave outputs is a serious drawback.

It's a nice compact unit with a good sound and quite a bit of
functionality, but anyone wanting to get the most out of this concept might
want to consider building something bigger.
