Hmmm.... data book says
features
- uniform noise density
- uniform noise amplitude
- eliminates noise preamps
- self contained oscillator
-single component insertion
applications
- Electronic musical rhythm instrument sound generators
- Music synthesizer white and pink noise generators
- Room acoustics testing/equalization
So the suits love it for that "single component insertion" and by the time
its designed
in and someone actually LISTENS to the little piece of sh!t... its too
late.
I'd agree that for percussive noises, you might not notice the warts... and
the Room acoustics
use is actually good
I wonder if Bob Pease knows anything about this chip ? Maybe we could get
some history :^P
