Hahaha....
and to think I was gonna put mine on e-bay... I figure since mine was from
a Prophet V it should be worth about ten times what a stock MM5837 is
worth...
(in other words... nothing :^)
Its a useless chip. It IS only good for something like room equalization,
where the
consistancy and repeatable noise MEANS something good.
Its easy to see why the production departments wanted this chip, but how on
earth could
any manufacturer (ESP Sequential Circuits P5 - about $3,400 new) possibly
consider
that their customers would be satisfied.
Every manufacturer who put this in a synth had to offer a replacement. May
those who
specified the MM3837 rot in hell - pssht - rot in hell - pssht - rot in hell
