All,

 Thanks fo rthe replies, perhaps I should've explained more..
I have the display, its a planar 640by400 (you can seen pictures of it
here - http://www.modulus.synth.net/tempest/)
It has 4 signals;-

VID Data
VID CLK
HSync
VSync

The timing is pretty much VGA (except its 400 lines not 480)
its Monochrome (a lovelly orange)
It needs a refresh rate of 60hz or 70hz

So, I figured rather than 're-invent the wheel' I'd see what I could find...
