I hope my contribution helps. I would recommend you to look up some other
emails I sent to this list on this topic. Go to the Synth-DIY archive and dig
for my email (cfmd at swipnet.se or magnus at analogue.org besides the one I use now)
and I think you can find multiple attempts to say something about it. Oh, toss
LaPlace and/or Fourier into the search-machine as well. Naturally you can ask
more questions like "What is the half-time of a pole?", "Which detector do I
need to detect zero singularities?" etc.
