[sdiy] simple TTL OT

Last time I traveled to the west (LAX) ( pre-911 ) I was made to turn on my
cell, PDA, shaver, and digital camera. Next time I go on a plane I may just
bring my Remington personal alarm. It produces a PWM output sweeping between
14 and 22 khz at about 120DB.

To be sure, this is nothing new. It's only newly publicized. Some 20 years
ago, I tried to bring a toolcase on board as carry-on and was forced to
submit the toolcase to baggage because the meter inside had pointed probes.
That same year, the company I worked for gave me a laptop and to avoid
putting it through the Xray machine, they were required to see it work.
Unfortunately, the batteries were not charged, so I could not demonstrate
it.
As it turned out, Xraying it was quicker anyway since the laptop was a
25MHz
SX running WinBlows 3.1.
Really, much of this has been in place for many years and we're just now
hearing about it because it plays well on the news. And the news media is
famous for blowing things like this out of proportion.
Now, can we stop this and get back to synthesizer electronics?
