[sdiy] EX800 sysex?

Hello list,

I've aquired an EX800 recently and are trying to figure out the sysex 
implementation. I found the magic incantation to get a complete dump 
out of the machine on the web and I'm working my way through the dump 
to find the location and encoding of each parameter. That works out 
well so far, but I've been unsuccessful in getting the edit buffer and 
some global parameters out of the machine. Also I've no idea if it 
would be possible to send and retrieve single sounds from the machine 
instead of getting the complete dump. If anybody on the list can help, 
please get in touch with me...

On a sidenote, what is the processor used in the EX800? I have found 
the ROM images on the net and if all else fails I may have to resort to 
taking the OS apart...

Last but not least, the EX800 is said to be missing an LFO that the 
Poly800 has. Is that something one could retrofit to the board or OS?
