I have done some 909 work with these CPU's
I also had a heck of a time getting help from NEC
I did manage to find a book and an assembler from Baradine Systems in
Vancouver ,Canada ,but I doubt
they've got any programming manuals left ,they also make
a hardware simulator for the 78C10.
I like these for MIDI and A/D (pots) also used in
Juno 106/MKS-7 (2 master/slave 31.25 kbps) ,TR-909
Korg SQ8 pocket sequencer.Yes it's like Z80 ,with 8/16 bit register pairs
(BC,DE,HL,BC',DE',HL') ,I can dig up some more info for you later.Good luck
and have fun !
