hi Paul,

there is a way to make your device show up as an USB audio device
with a number of MIDI ports. I think that's the way to go. I haven't
found a way (at least from what I understand from the FTDI datasheets)
to make the simple USB IC's report to windows as a USB audio device
with a MIDI port. I think it would be possible if there is a way to store
descriptors in the FTDI IC's, but as far as I understand you can only
store product IDs and such in the EEPROM attached to it...
