Yes. They are of some use. If you feed the internal current mirrors
with a current source a good frequency range can be made.
Still the 2206 offers the smoothest internal sine shaper of
all monolithic triangle ICOs.
Since only a few nodes are availbale as pins, there are some
limitations regarding synch, etc. Also, the linearity
might not be as you want it, since the designer had a
workbench osc in mind, with capacitor range switching.

mainly) around the XR2206 or XR2207 chips?? I have one
of each and was thinking that maybe they could be of
