I checked the schematics: Yes, there is a difference.

In both models (well, in _all_ Hammond that have a line box)
the "weaker" vibratos are created by scanning only a part of
the delay line.

The CV (and AV BV BCV DV and RT) models are choosing the
_far side_ of the delay line for the weaker vibratos, with the
tap after L24 common to all vibrato and chorus variations.

B2, C2 and RT-2 models are choosing the _input side_ for the
partial scan, with the tap before L1 common to all variations.

Later models (with 18-inductor line Boxes) all have the C2 scheme
(_input side_ in common), so I guess that was a deliberate choice
of Hammond to improove his sound.

Now I'm getting really excited - must hear a C2 or B2 or RT-2 (;->)
