Why not make a subframe to mount all the pots, and mount it behind the
main panel?  Advantage is you can use as much thread to mount, and the
panel holes only have to be large enough to accomodate the pot shaft, not
the mounting bush.

Downside is a bit of extra metalwork to bash out.
