That questions is impossible to answer, and that is because it doesn't have
enought information. What you really need to know is the power-ratings of the
elements, how the passive filter was built, maybe even the electrical impedance
of each driver (if you feel like being extra picky). You also don't know if
that 100 W amp was adequate to start with, maybe it should have been a 150 W
amp.

On the same time I don't think it is as valueable. It is possibel to understand
the gain of taking the step without falling into "proove it by numbers". The
real proof comes when you actually do it.

The original question was really on why does it sound so bloody awfull, and
then I choose to explain the things you should do to a system which seems still
to be things people don't do all the time. It's built on numerous of external
sources as well as numerous of experiments and experiances that we did. Our
goal back then was to quanitfy the theory and resoning behind what we did and
how we experienced the audioble difference. It was fun and we measure things
alot (including the dress rehearsal of Miss Sweden - right in the bathing suite
dress rehearsal actually - they all looked the same which was kind of
depressing in a way).

Cheers,
Magnus
