[sdiy] reasons for Forum

hello. i haven't kept up on the whole thread of fourms, but perhaps the FUDforum may work like that (http://fud.prohost.org/features.php)? its a GPL license release too...

www.commonsound.com/fud has it semi-integrated with email. it probably would not be too hard to completely integrate as a simultaneous forum/email list. 

one such feature: "NNTP & Mailing List integration, allowing FUDforum to be used to archive newsgroups & mailing lists, as well as allow forum members to post messages to newsgroups and mailing lists via the forum." 

note: i am in no way connected with this, it just seemed to be a possible solution. free too...
