There are models for core simulation.
If you want a *good* model, it's not so easy, though.
I've created core models for SABER ca. 10 years
ago (wasn't really possible in Spice). I have
no idea how good or how bad core models are
in Spice today. (I would not expect too much.)
For a PSU in a synth, I'd say once you're entering
a region of serious saturation, you're already
lost. Keep these stray fields low, avoid saturation.

Right. One more reason to do it in Spice, rather than
making rough estimations on paper.

I saw some childeren in an air raid shelter on the German
TV last night. A few days before the war started, their
parents bought fireworks to accustom their children to the
bang and the smoke that would come from the bombs, to keep
the terror as low as possible.
That's what war is about: loving parents, frightened children,
destroyed families. How many of them will survive Bush's
so-called "war against Saddam" ??
