I worked with a guy that had narcolepsy, he could fall asleep while
driving,
which is why I never went to lunch with him. But one day he fell asleep
with
his head on his hands in a prayer position, on his drawing board. His
boss
walked up to him, and apparently he woke up without moving and saw
his boss standing next to him. He lifted his head up and said "Amen."
His boss walked away with a disgusted look on his face.
To go even further OT, I worked for Michelin, and they wanted to try
to get away from all their custom written FEA (Finite Element Analysis,
for the non engineers out there. Oh hell, who am I kidding.) So they
gave one engineer the responsibility of evaluating Abacus FEA software.
So he got the software along with six feet of manuals; Abacus Users
Manual.
Abacus Programmers Introduction. Abacus Programmers Reference, etc..
As a joke we gave him a real abacus, which he put on his monitor. A
bigwig
manager tour came by and one of the mangers said "Cool a chinese
abacus. Do you
know how to use it?" He said, "No, but I have all the manuals" and
opened his
cube shelf.
And just when you think I couldn't be more offtopic. I am leaving Texas
and moving
to Seattle to work for Amazon. Any Seattle DIYers that can give tips on
non-burbs
neighborhoods, please contact me offlist.
