Hi all,
I have recently had a couple of problems with two of my favourite bits of
gear, namely a TB303 and TR707 which I'm hoping someone can help me with.
The 303's 'Next/Write' button has stopped working altogether so I now can't
input any glide or accents on any of the notes that I input into it. Also,
it won't work in song mode to skip to the next measure that you want to
write. The actual switch is making contact perfectly however as it had a new
one put in about 2-3 weeks ago. The actual fault arose when I decided to use
the CV/Gate sockets on the back to control another bit of Roland analogue
gear, unplugged it and tried to re-write the pattern. On closer inspection
of the 303 PCB I've noticed that the CMOS 4013B flip flop has a slightly
corroded pin. (I can't remember which to hand).
Does anyone know if this could be a factor in it not operating properly or
if there's anything else that I should be looking for?.
The 707's problem is that the open/closed hi-hat seems to rise and fall in
volume (smoothly from max to min) when using the internal sequencer or
external midi control when I've not told it to do so.
Any ideas as to why this is occuring?.
Thanks.
Regards
Steven
