Ooops yes it's not a 20 but rather a 25 or 35 or 45 (depending on the sounds
I guess).

Found a German site (google translate works OK on this):

I think I thought it was a 20 because the serial number is "20-xxxx" (I
forget the last four digits). No serial number plate anywhere, it's just
scrawled across the bottom in marking pen, as well as on some of the
internal structural parts.

Might want to check http://www.mellotron.com and see if theres any usefull
info there.  Looks like the Rhythmate 20 used 1" tape.  Maybe thats a 
model 25 if its got 3/8".
