Radio Shack sells it actually.
Comes in a splicing kit guaranteed to remove a finger if you arnt careful.
I've had bad luck with Scotch tape and other tapes not made for splicing.
They usually are a little stiff and after a period of years they tend to dry
up and fall off, or worse exude some nasty goo that gums up everything.
I have to do this fight every few months with my Dynacord tape echo.
A neat hint for tape loop people... Find a blank 8track tape next time
you have to make a new loop. Its Much more flexible and harder wearing then
standard 1/4" tape.
Might want to check http://www.mellotron.com and see if theres any usefull
info there. Looks like the Rhythmate 20 used 1" tape. Maybe thats a
model 25 if its got 3/8".
