[sdiy] OT Photocopier.

Y-ellow all.
         I was recently given a photocopier. Before I render it for bits 
(What bits are worth getting out of a photo copier?) I'm wondering if 
anyone here is a photocopier expert?

It looks like the drum is shot but according to the service log, the drum 
has been changed something in the order of 8K pages ago. The counter reads 
60K pages, the service log says it was changed at 52K.

The symptoms are streaks or lines through the entire copy and blotchy 
patches of overly light and overly dark areas. Which are not always in the 
same position on the page each time.

This looks like a cactus drum to me but I don't really have a clue so 
before I  pull it's life support, I just thought I'd ask if anyone had any 
better suggestions.
