Use a summing mixer such as the one shown here
http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules/mixer.html, with each pot of the sequencer
connected as per the exampe pot in the circuit duiagram.
If this is too complex for you, try the following:
Connect each pot so that its clockwise end is to the appropriate pin of the
4017, and its anti-clockwise end is to 0V. Connect each of the middle
terminals through a small signal diode such as the 1N4148 to the CV jack.
These diodes will isolate the pots from each other so they wont effect each
other
You should get over 4 octaves that way.
