[sdiy] ARP pots

Hi All,

Just wanted to get some feedback from the group. Who would be interested if
I offered bare PCBs for the following:

1) Adaptor PCB to allow mounting rotary pots with 1/8" shaft to replace
Odyssey / Avatar / Axxe sliders. This is just preliminary, but it looks to
me like rotary pots less than .750" in dia will work without having to drill
or modify the face panels. To really do it right however, requires a clean
method of wiring the new pot and mechanically anchoring it to the main PCB.
This is where the adaptor mount comes in. This means you can FINALLY get
decent working replacement pots for your ARP, but the machine could be
restored to 100% stock condition fairly easily if necessary. Yeah, I know.
An Odyssey with round knobs is gonna look a little weird, but if the thing
works reliably and makes cool noises for the next twenty or thirty years I
think it will be well worth it.

2) PCB for a rack mount ARP sequencer clone. I am completely amazed that
original ARP sequencers go for $600 to $800 on a regular basis on evilbay.
I'm fairly sure that a replacement could be made for less than $100 in parts
(with rotary pots, no sliders), so I think I'm going to start making clones
and selling them! No MIDI, no nothing that isn't on the original. Okay,
MAYBE add Blacet's MIDI to Sequencer interface chip to allow stop, start and
clocking via MIDI, but that's all.

Your thoughts?
