There are a number of PCB prototype and small series production outfits
on the web (Google seems to find them very well) that can give you very
reasonably priced multilayer boards with surprisingly low turnaround
times. If you use one of these outfits for your PCB needs anyway (I
have no desire to have the chemicals at my place, the tools to do PCB
layout transfer and etch properly are not eaxactly cheap either and
then I still don't have proper through-holes or vias), then even when
you manage to squeeze everything onto two layers, it may be better to
spend two extra layers for proper supply planes and/or to
avoid crosstalk between signals.
