Hi, everyone.

I am attempting to construction a simple cv keyboard.  It will simply have 
one out that will send voltages to whatever.

My plan was to have resistors in series that would devide up the voltage.  
Each key would then correspond to the correct amount of resistors/voltage.

This works fine except when no key is being held , there is no cv output.  I 
have noticed that my store bought synth's cv always outputs the last 
note/voltage played, even when no keys are pressed.

What is standard?  To have the last note played sent out until changed?  
Would this be easy to do schematically?  How?
