Yeah!  The Droid-3 is what I was mentioning a few posts ago.  I'm 
usually a synth-diy lurker, interested but not actually hands-on 
enough with hardware most of the time.

The Droid-3 is an excellent little box with a groovy concept: 
hardware synthesis engine with minimal but complete editing 
facilities built-in while the brains of the editing operations/patch 
librarian reside in PC software and control the machine via MIDI CCs.

They really managed to pack a load of stuff into it.

I'm just finishing up the Mac editor for the Droid-3 and embarking on 
an OSX version.  I use this little beast every day now.  It's hot. 
Anything from extreme low-fi video game and digital dirt to nice 
analogesque sounds to house-quaking basses.  REALLY house-quaking 
basses.
