They're available in the shops - I played one a while ago.  About $45 (CDN) 
for a 15-footer, and frankly the shielding wasn't nearly what it was cracked 
up to be.  And if you ever step on one you'll know about it!  I think they 
were mainly being marketed as cool metallic additions to the spiky-guitar and 
leather set.
