Actually it's no problem at all to modify it slightly to accept voltage instead of binary value, I just need to read it not from Port, but internal A/D. I intend to make such a device, hopefully in form of 1/4'' jack that has DIN5 socket where cable usually goes. BTW, would there be interest in such device?
I'm currently working (yeah right...) on MIDI sequencer too. It has 16 steps of note/velocity pots, and other varieties. Schematic is simple, 4x4051, PIC16F870 and some minor circuitry. The key is in the frimware which I'm working on right now (yeah, rhight again). Knowing my enthusiastic approach to DIY recently, I could finish it in a year or 2...
