I got ya all beat.

My wife:
--Asks for tools for birthdays and xmas, etc. Would much rather have an
expensive routing table or parts for her miter saw rather than getting
jewelry or other trinkets as gifts.
--Tells me to "go to the basement" when she's pissed; in other words, get
out of her hair and go work on music projects, etc.
--Says that the synth hobby is "a good thing"; better than drinking all
night and staying out w/ hookers. True enough.

However, fab'ing circuit boards at home is now "out" ever since I
accidentally etched away all the chrome fittings on the toilet. Oh well,
can't win em all.
