here's a little taste of Aztec cuisine to savor while I finish slapping this
damn thing together.

http://www.sunrisecomputersolutions.com/samples/aztec.mp3 (568K)

http://www.sunrisecomputersolutions.com/aztec_2.wav (2.48M)

here's the latest:

I am finding the current control thing I mentioned to be rather interesting
and it may wind up as an external input on the finished module. Added range
LED indicators. it was easy since this is an LED display chip. bit #1 and
bit #10 have LEDs to help set the proper input level - VERY handy. they
don't seem to have any effect on the sound. having only 10 bits gives alot
of variation but when you overdrive the unit i.e. the signal is larger than
the 3914's divider scale, you get another effect. flattened off peaks! open
the .wav sample up in Sound Forge or a similar app. and zoom in till you see
the waveshapes clearly. schematics soon, I promise!
