Odp: [sdiy] 3.3V and MIDI

I made MIDI controllers supplied from 2 AAA cells, i.e. 3V
and sometimes less. It worked OK, but some soundcards
wouldn't work well with it. I don't know what soundcards, and
if the adapter was well made at the receiving end, but the
customer complained about it. I use 3 cells (4.5V) ever since.
BTW, I used 150 ohms resistors at MIDI out instead of
usual 220.
