Hi,
For those that know what the subject refers to, any comments on how good
it is? Whether it is any better than sending in files from other
packages?
For those that don't, PCB Pool (the European internet-based PCB house, NOT
Olimex!!) has teamed up with the company that produces Target 3001 to
create a version of the Target 3001
Schematic/PCB/Autoplacer/Autorouter/Simulation/EMC-Analysis package just
for PCB Pool---when its time to produce your board the software takes your
order, including credit card info, bundles it all up into an encrypted
file (which only PCB Pool can decrypt, so you can't send it to another PCB
house) and sends it directly to the PCB Pool layout system.
(Side note: I wonder how long it would take the security boys at the lab
to crack this one?)
It seems nice that it is all integrated (none of the faff of going to the
PCB Pool website, logging on, filling out the online form, uploading your
file and credit card details, etc etc). But, perhaps too nice?
Opinions welcome.
