In Horowitz/Hill they state 400mAh @ 1mA and 180mAh @ 10mA for a "heavy
duty" 9V zinc carbon battery, 500mAh @ 1mA and 470mAh @ 10mA for an
alkaline 9V battery.

I'm sure that I'm in the minority here, but that H&H book is *full* of wrong, misleading, and
wierd garbage. It's like it was edited by junior EE students, randomly grabbing stuff off the
web. I know many folks think it's a wonderful book, but I read the op amp chapter and about
barfed.
