A number of my friends are small furry rodents. It's not a problem.
Actually the knobs aren't that small. Rather elegant in fact. The dial
markings are already on the pot's housing. Sure, for someone who labels
their panels with dymo tape this is going to be a problem but even my
crappy lazy printer should suffice as an initial panel print. When a
critical mass of panels is achieved I can use the time honored method of
getting a colour laser print of a bunch of panels and having them
heat-pressed with a nice, low reflective stipple finish.
Since, (dare I say it) most of my stuff is digital, I can save a lot of
space. The processing etc, is all Analog of course. Digital control is the
key here but I don't want to run a digital control bus. Although I have
thought about it. Doing such a thing would be really compact but lacks that
human feel and immediacy which inspires creativity. (Mmm. Must remember
that for a press release.)
Space is the problem. I'd love to have a wall of standard sized modules. I
just don't have any wall left. But I've got about 4Us of rack space. And
this handy little cage which would do the job.
Thanks again.
Be absolutely Icebox.
