I was thinking to build a synth with only one DSP, SRAM, flash, 24bit 96kHz AD/DA, 4 encoders with switch, 16x4 char LCD,i don't know if is possible to manage this I/O with only one DSP and if this dsp's are capable to manage Granular synthesis..
I would suggest to split tasks between a uC and a DSP :
- the uC would handle encoders, LCD and granulation timers
- the DSP would be dedicated to grains synthesis, thus allowing
more density / polyphony.
