Having had to de-pot a couple of things recently, I will tell of a simple
discovery that really helps. I have one of those "blow torch" cigarette
lighters - I use it to heat up small patches of epoxy at a time, wich really
softens it and allows carving it away with and x-acto knife. I should
mention that I consider de-potting to be a destructive process. I do not
attempt to salvage any of the parts - just their value and configuration.
