With all due respect...(censored).

Given the wide availability of PC bits in many form factors i.e. the
little Shuttle boxes, rackmounts etc. I would suggest Linux on PC as a
more suitable solution for "appliance" building. Cheaper too...

(Note that I develop on Windows, that would not be as easy to go
embedded with though)
