An interesting side note: When I was troubleshooting those boards with the
umpteen-jillion pin chips, when it came time to change a feed-through chip
I'd let out a groan because I knew they were harder to desolder.(and
sometimes just soldering them in would be a pain in the butt, too)
Inevitably there would be one pin (at least) to ground that would need to be
heated up so much it would delay me.
This was of course when I was employed...
