Uhm, I could probably live without seeing the results of that union...

However, the telepod from that film just might be the ultimate synth
case/housing. Big, black thing with the heat sink fins all over - hydraulic
actuators slide the door open to reveal the inside of the pod lined with
synth modules - then the nightmare begins...THEY'RE ALL BANANA JACKS AND ALL
YOU HAVE ARE 1/4" PATCH CORDS! 
AAAAARRRRRRGH!!!
