An audio transformer with two primaries and one secondary.
The Mouser 42TM028 would work, though intended for
600 ohm loading. An added bonus: phase reversal of one or
both channels is easily done with DPDT switches.

Dunno about them, but the Gods of Early Film Sound used
specially-made multiwinding transformers to mix audio.
Cause in 1928 there wasn't no such thing as an audio mixer.
Still the best way, the only thing mitigating aganst it is the cost....
(see, if you study this old tube stuff, you learn arcane things....)
