An alternative would be to use one of those 3-pin supply monitors that
Maxim do, which also include brown-out detection for free.

I've used the MAX803 in the past.  Very easy to use:

There're probably newer models that wash whiter than white, so you might
want to check out the other options.  Or just go with quick and simple as
above.
