[sdiy] LM3914/Voltage Controlled Electro-Optical Mixer Question

the inputs are supposed to be able to sink 30ma or so the datasheet says.
however during my experiments I found that the chip started to run hot with
15ma on the inputs. maybe it's a typo because elsewhere it reads that the
max is 12ma. try using those 2ma LEDs and you should be ok.
