Normally you connect the sense terminals to the output terminals
at that point where to voltage should be exactly the nominal voltage (i.e.
the point where the output voltage is compared against a reference voltage).
Normally this is the input connector of your system that has to be powered.

Leaving this lines open could eventually lead to uncontrolled output
voltages
and so destroy your circuit connected to the supply.
