Okay, that's about the tenth time I've seen a mention of granular synthesis
in the last 48 hours. Could some kind soul please point me to some really
good demonstrations of granular synthesis at its best? I'd love to find a
few really good MP3 files on the internet that showed what all the fuss is
about. 

I've tinkered with a few granular synthesis toys on the PC, but have never
gotten anything out of them I liked. Surely I'm doing something wrong?

Also I ask you, could a "granular synth" be constructed without going
digital? Perhaps a BBD circuit from the very center of Hell?
