I agree,
take a listen to V1.12 of the Monowave II Im working on.
This allows Filter EG to modulate the resonance, it gives the sound a bit of
'bite'.
There's a whole lot more in the way of interesting modulation routings that
can be done.
The Oberheim Xpander, of course, was probably the best example of extensive
modulation routing capabilities..
